I have been a bridal hair stylist for several years and I have a lot of experience in wedding hair styles.
Whether it's a hair pin-up for a special occassion or simply letting
your hair down for the celebrations, the results either way can be molded to fit your expectations.
I provide a
warm professional service at my home in Montpellier, Cheltenham and will also travel in and around
Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds.
My specialities are wedding hair styles/bridal
hair for weddings, hair styles/hair up for special occasions e.g. hen nights, birthday parties, anniversaries.
I also specialise in hair extensions and hair braiding.
A consultation is important before the actual appointment. It should
ideally take place 3 months before the big day. During the consultation, we discuss about the wedding hairstyle required. Things to consider are hair type, hair volume, facial features,
the dress and the theme of the wedding. Conditioning treatments may also be needed for the bride's hair.
A consultation is vital. If the bride has got a theme then I need to
see the bridesmaids. My time of arrival on the wedding day is determined by the hairstyles requested and the number of people who need their hair styled.
Usually if there is a wedding theme we discuss what would be the most suitable hairstyle after considering individual facial features,
height, dress code etc. I will work together with everyone during the consultation to decide what will make the bride most comfortable and happy.
After consultation, dates for trials are decided. Trials are important to allow me to get used to the bride's hair.
During the trials it is important that the bride brings the tiara and any other hair accessories to be used on the wedding day.
During the consultation a decision is made on price. The price
depends on the style chosen but prices are generally as below.
Consultations:
These are free if the client is coming to me in Cheltenham. If I travel to the clients house then there is a
charge of £30 excluding the travel costs. Clients who go on to book an appointment with me get their
consultation money back.
This package includes the bride, and two brides maids (travel costs and trials included).
5 people (£250 includes the travel cost if the wedding is in the Cotswolds.)
This package includes the bride and brides maids/other persons/members
of the family (travel costs and trials included).
Bridesmaids only special (£40 each includes travel cost if wedding is in the
Cotswolds)
The minimum number in this package is 6 people. This package includes
one trial each for all the bridesmaids. All brides maids must come for a consultation.if one is not able to attend
the consultation then an extra charge of £15 will be added to the original price. The bride must accompany the
bridesmaids for a consultation.
N.B
These package prices are fixed and not negotiable. If negotiation is
required then the clients need to consult individually for individual price quote. Price quotes in this case will
be given during the consultation.
Family package £45 each person for 4 to 8 people to include bride,
mother of the bride, sisters of the bride and any other family members.
Hair extensions - Bridal special
(£300 to include consultation, human hair, trials, travel and styling on the day.)
This special offer is for brides or any one who would like to have
hair extensions for their wedding day or special occasion.
Hair Extensions
Hair extensions provide instant volume, length, and colour. They provide a self enhancing experience
and will improve the clients' image. Hair extensions come in three main types. Synthetic hair, fibre and human hair. Extensions give instant
volume and length but the texture and look totally changes depending on the type of extensions chosen. They come in a range of colours.
This gives the client a different hair colour without using chemicals.
Synthetic extensions
As the word suggests these are not real hair. They are fantastic for braiding. These can be washed,
brushed and blow dried using very low heat but cannot be straightened as they will melt if exposed to high temperatures.
Climatic temperatures don't affect synthetic extensions. They are also cheaper.
Fibre extensions
These are a type of fibre that are slightly resistant to heat from hair straighteners and tongs up to a
certain degree of temperature. Fibre extensions offer a good introduction to hair extensions when a client is not yet ready for human hair
extensions. They are easier to manage and blend in better with one`s own hair than synthetic hair does. They last longer than synthetic hair and styling
them is more versatile as they give an option of heat styling. They are an excellent choice for instant volume.
Human Hair extensions
These are 100% human hair. They are excellent for creating volume, texture, length and colour effects and are even better for styling. They blend well with ones own hair
and if done professionally are undetectable. They are relatively expensive but last for 3 months if well maintained.
Prices for hair extensions
Prices depend on the type of hair chosen and the method
of extensions application.
1) Braid method (from £180 ~ £280)
Extensions are attached to the hair by weaving three
sections of hair to create a braid.
The finished look results in multiple strands of braids on the whole head.
A few strands of extensions can be fully braided or half
braided to leave hair free and hence allowing more styling to the ends of the hair.
It lasts for a maximum of 3 months.
2) Weave on method from £ 70~ £150
Hair is plaited using the scalp plait method (cornrows) and then the hair extensions are sewn onto the plaited hair using a special hair thread.
This lasts for 1 month.
3) Strand method from £200 ~
Extensions are attached to the hair strand by strand using a special hair bond. ( small strands of hair extensions are fused with a few strands of the clients` hair using a special hair bond that seals the hair together).
This allows the clients` hair to blend completely with the extensions. This method is great for clients who are
very committed to hair extensions because this style lasts longer (maximum 3 months).
Consultations for extensions
Free if client comes to me and £50 excluding travel cost
if I travel to the client. If Client books an appointment then they can claim back 70% of the amount paid as a
consultation fee.
These include hen nights birth days anniversaries confirmations,
graduations, ball parties and any other special occasions apart from weddings. I will travel to the client on the
day of celebration. If you are looking for a special hair do or simply wanting a hair theme for every one on your
party then this is for you.
Prices for parties excluding travel cost. (I charge £1 per mile)

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Wedding appointments have got to be booked at least 2 months in advance
To book appointments for any service apart from general hairdressing a client will have to pay a deposit of 50%
in Cash or Cheque (Cheque gurrantee number is required) of the final grand total to be paid on the day. The balance will then have to be paid on the day in cash only.
Cancellations of weddings, hair extensions and party appointments will incur a loss of 50% of their initial
deposit. Also clients who cancel on the day will be charged the full price for the day.
If a member of a package or group cancels there will be no refund given for that specific person who cancelled,
who may be part of the party.
Missed appointments will be charged at the full price.
My time is very valuable to me. i will give the client enough time to think about the information given to them but please if you feel you don't need my services then honesty is all I ask.
I have worked with all the people I have recommended. In my opinion they are all professionals and their work is
good. For those people I recommend I do not take responsibility for their work or for any of their failures. Each
individual is different and so is their work. The decision is the clients and if you need more information about
them then it is best you contact them quoting Sheena. Their business is different from mine but we all have a
mutual understanding of recommending each other.
